There’s a City Council meeting on Tuesday. They sort of council about city-related things. You can check it out if you want. 7pm at the Riverview Educational Services Center.
Pizza and Pages, the middle school/high school book club, is meeting at the Duvall Library at 4pm on Wednesday. Anyone of the appropriate age is welcome to join.
Duvall Bag Ladies are meeting from 6:30-8:30 on Wednesday night at NWAC to make plarn (plastic yarn made from old grocery bags) for mats for the homeless.
Just about everything fun ever is this Saturday in Duvall.
March of the Vegetables Parade is at 3pm this Saturday. Down Main Street they will come. Marching in all their colorful delicious nutritiousness. Don’t miss it.
Also Saturday, the Duvall Historical Society is hosting a pruning workshop at Dougherty Farmstead. It looks awesome. Sign up in advance.
CHS Class of 2017 is hosting an Electronics Fundraiser Saturday from 10am-2pm in the Duvall Safeway Parking Lot. Bring your old electronics and cash donations to help pay for Grad Night for the Class of 2017 … possibly paying for a DJ. Wherever the money goes, won’t you feel good unloading your old electronics in an environmentally responsible way? They’ll be recycling everything.
Saturday is also opening night for the Cedarcrest High School Youth Art Exhibit at Northwest Art Center with a reception from 5-9.
Village Specialty Market is holding their basic pizza making class again this Saturday from 6-8pm. There’s still room available. Mmmm….
If your middle schooler isn’t already all booked up on Saturday, the 2017 Be the Change Summit is happening. It’s a day full of fun and learning to help teens find ways to make a positive difference in the world. It’s free and it takes place in Fall City.
There’s also a bunch of stuff happening in the schools this week. Group pictures are Tuesday the 21st at Carnation Elementary. The Cherry Valley PTA meeting is Tuesday at 7pm in the library. Wednesday is Cherry Valley spring class pictures so wipe the schmutz off those little faces. At 6pm Wednesday is the CVE 5th grade camp parent meeting. On Thursday morning, the 5th graders will invade Tolt Middle School for a band concert. Thursday night is Stillwater Multi-cultural Night and the Carnation Elementary Grade 2/3 musical. On Friday we have early release for everyone and the Cherry Valley PTA Dance Dude Dance at 6:30. Saturday Cedarcrest has Tolo. Plus sports are rampant. Dang! It’s a full week in the school district.
